The free medical camp was conducted by HMH at a christian elementary school in a muslim neighborhood predominantly populated by lower income group in the Anna Nagar Area. A team of twelve professionals including three doctors, three nurses, three paramedics and three admin volunteers conducted the camp.
The camp focused on providing preventive medical checkup including blood pressure monitoring, checkup, and general counseling. Many of the patients came in with issues such as body pain and fever.
Free medicines were provided to the patient population for illnesses that were treatable at home, and some patients with serious illness were asked to report to the hospital for further tests and treatment.
In all, the camp was very successful in its mission of providing health care for the needy. Over two hundred patients, including many women and children, were treated at the camp.
